Tear gas were fired. Brutal treatment. Multiple arrests. Roadblocks.
Yet, the people walked. And walked. And persevered.
I don’t care what your political affiliations are. I don’t care if you’re uneducated. I don’t care if you’re police, and you need to follow orders. This wasn’t a rally to pick sides and argue, this was a rally to demand for equality. Something many can mock and say already exists in our country. Many of them speaking from position of privilege. Remember when your heart is in the right place, no amount of brutality or hurled insults can distract you from what you believe, and deserve.
My love, respect and awe to those who rallied in peace. I only wish circumstances allowed me to join all of you.
