Picture of the Day: Nabih Saleh, Bahrain. Eleven-year-old Ali Hasan is kissed by his mother, Khadija Habib outside of the police station. Ali was arrested for his participation in anti-government protests, but the middle schooler has been temporarily released pending a trial.
He spent a month behind bars. The sixth grader took his final exams in prison after being arrested outside the capital in mid-May. He returns for court proceedings on the 20th.
